Mothering Sunday is the UK's equivalent of Mothers' Day in other countries. In the UK Mothering Sunday is always the 4th Sunday in Lent and a time when children can give their mothers a little something. Mothering Sunday is also sometimes know as Simnel Sunday because of the tradition of baking Simnel cakes.
